The quiet surroundings offered a peaceful respite, with the room being clean and well-equipped. I appreciated the cozy atmosphere and the lovely garden view, which really enhanced the experience.
The breakfast setup left a lot to be desired—just a cereal packet and some questionable orange juice are not cutting it. After 11 am, hot water for showers was off the table, which is a bit of a bummer. Plus, the shower lacked safety bars, making it slippery, and only a single towel per person for a three-night stay was stretching it. I noticed some hanging space was just a peg-nail on the wall, not exactly ideal for longer visits.

We enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful experience surrounded by beautiful countryside. The place was incredibly clean, and we appreciated the cozy setup of the cottage. Each morning, we found a great selection of breakfast items including fresh milk and seasonal pastries, which made our stay even better. A nearby pub, the Red Lion, had delicious food and the enjoyable evening strolls down the road were a highlight for us. This was the perfect getaway with our kids to unwind and enjoy nature.

i was almost tempted to give a good review, but the room was stifling, even with a fan—who needs that during a heatwave? also, the bed was almost cozy, but could’ve been bigger for us tall folks. i definitely expected a complimentary gesture for such inconvenience, but apparently, that’s too much to ask here. disappointing, really.
